GFAV is affiliated with the Game Fishing Association of Australia (GFAA) and the International Game Fishing Association (IGFA). There are currently 16 Victorian Fishing Clubs affiliated with our association, representing more than 630 Victorian game fishers.

Victorian coastal waters are filled with a range of excellent and sizeable gamefish. Whether you choose to fish in the Southern Ocean on our west coast, Bass Strait, Port Phillip Bay or the Tasman Sea in the states far east, the chance of encountering and hooking a gamefish is very much a reality. With multiple ports across that state to launch from, access to our local fishery is easy accessible.

Our aim is to ensure game fishing is accessible to all Victorian anglers wanting to fish in local and international waters for game fish – and assist all in the regulation and management of this state resource and the sport.
